Go bridge with the all-new Marucci CAT9 Connect -5 USSSA Baseball Bat. Featuring a 2 3/4″ big barrel, the Marucci CAT9 Connect -5 travel ball bat combines a carbon composite handle with a new strengthened, AZR alloy barrel. AZR alloy is created utilizing a three-stage thermal treatment process, offering a more responsive microstructure for better feel, more forgiveness and more performance. The barrel showcases a multi-variable wall design that creates an expanded sweet spot, while the thinner barrel walls are more forgiving after off-center contact. Additionally, the ring-free barrel construction allows for more barrel flex and increases performance with no “dead” spots. The one-of-a-kind, OLS, Outer-Locking System, attaches the barrel and handle from the outside in. This unique system creates the stiffest connection available, while dismissing virtually all vibrations on contact for the strongest, smoothest swing on the market. The power-loaded barrel on this two-piece hybrid bat results in a higher M.O.I. and end-loaded feel for effortless power. The handle of the CAT9 Connect is professionally inspired with a removeable taper and ergonomic knob shape, offering more top-hand control and comfort.
